Advocacy 101

Attention, folks. Find your seats. Class is about to start.

Join Emerging Arts Leaders: Philadelphia as we welcome Anne Marie Rhodes, Director of Policy & Community Engagement of the Greater Philadelphia Cultural Alliance for Advocacy 101.

Why do we advocate for the arts? How do we do it? What are tangible ways we get involved? Anne Marie will answer these questions and more. So, come hungry to learn and leave empowered to make a difference.

We are grateful for our partners including University City Arts League for hosting this event at their awesome venue and to the Cultural Alliance for sharing their wisdom.

Join EAL:P at the February 16th Action Collective exploring Art and Social Change with artists Shira Walinsky and Lamour Supreme.

This will be the first of a series monthly meetings – informal, informative, productive and hopefully boozy – designed to help us network, get a better grasp on the socio-political landscape of 2017, and raise a little money for some great causes.Structure: Each month invited speaker(s) come to give an informal talk about a cause, current event, or topic that they are passionate about. Attendees bring drinks and snacks to share and donate money along a sliding scale dollar amount for that night ($10 suggested minimum). All money collected goes to either the organization visiting or the speaker’s choice.
